Creative Confidence To Go

The tools in this chapter are intended to help you practice unlocking your creative thinking as a bridge to creative confidence. Each exercise corresponds with an innovation question or challenge. Don’t feel compelled to try them all. If a particular topic doesn’t resonate with the concerns you are facing today, then chances are the tool won’t either.

We’ll begin with a couple of exercises you can start doing by yourself right now. Others you can use the next time you are in a group or team setting. Try a few of them out. See if they help you flex your creative muscles.

Some of these techniques will seem incredibly simple. That’s good since it means there’s a low barrier to entry. We hope that you will attempt at least one idea (and share it with your colleagues, if appropriate). The value lies not in the idea, however, but in the action.
